About Us
Kinder-Janes Engineers Limited is based in St. Albans and supplies pumps, compressors and process equipmement with particular expertise in the petrochemical industry. The Company was formed in 1957 by Mr. George Kinder and Mr. Peter Janes, both engineers and was initially based in Woking. Over the next eight years the Company had three bases before establishing premises in Tabernacle Street, London in 1965.
The Company then remained in Tabernacle Street until moving to its present location in St. Albans in 1988. George Kinder retired in 1985, but Peter Janes remained as Chairman and fully involved in the business in until passing away in 2015. The first appointed member of staff, Mrs. Jennifer Janes, became Managing Director in 1992 is now also our Company Chairman.
The total number of employees has remained constant at around 20 people, which includes the Directors and many have been with the company for the majority of their careers.
As the appointed, official partners for YTS, we handle all sales and after-sales activities for their product ranges in the UK. We add value through our skills in providing technical advice, quotations, sales contracts handling and complete after-sales service, including the supply of spare parts, servicing and repairs, both on-site and in our manufacturer accredited workshop.

We provide comprehensive spare parts YTS equipment. Most normal maintenance parts for the popular pumps are available from our extensive shelf stock.
When enquiring for spare parts, please ensure that you have the serial number for the equipment available. All spare parts enquiries and orders are checked and recorded against dedicated parts lists for each unit to ensure correct supply and to maintain a lifetime history for all equipment.
